…And now I will send the Holy Spirit, just as my Father promised. But stay here in the city until the Holy Spirit comes and fills you with power from heaven.” Luke 24:29

There was fear, unrest, and the disciples were running scared when Jesus appeared to them, showing his hands and feet. He had been thirsty on the cross but now, he was hungry to share more than a meal with his friends. He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures and the promise of the Holy Spirit. He blessed them even while he was taken up to heaven.

What if our stay at home became a stay here? This time of Pentecost filling our days with moments of grace and joy in the wait for the Holy Spirit.

Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Acts 2:2

Now’s the time to show God’s lavish love. No holding back. And on our day of Pentecost, we don’t turn back. Christ’s love amplified, the veils lifted and our faith powered by the Holy Spirit. No, we will never be the same because we are better and stronger with clear vision. Look to the cross and see love. The empty tomb for fulfillment of prophecy. To his hands and feet to believe. Free your mind to understand God’s word. Wait for the power of the Holy Spirit…it’s coming, my friends.
